The Haylands Clydesdale Stud was established in 1953 by Hugh Barrie. His daughter, Barbara and grandaughter, Denia are continuing to breed and show Haylands Clydesdales. Their stallion, Haylands Souvenir carries quality bloodlines of the founding sire, Valletta Flash Prince, tracing back to the imported stallion, Flashdale, brought out from Scotland in the early 1920's.
